This time, the show transported almost 200 guests to the exotic region of Tulum. Alongside cultural figures and members of the press, fashion influencers and prominent figures from the industry were on hand. During the evening, the guests were treated to a show of fantastic flavours, visuals and music, which was rounded off with a rousing Tulum DJ Party.The designer, Orsolya Darcsi, has been under the spell of individually tailored, handmade clothes since she was 12 years old. She founded her eponymous brand in 2015. For the designer who creates unique clothes, design is a constant experimentation and immersion, a constant exploration and reinvention of materials and techniques. It is also a very profound and human process, which they go through together with the client. A journey where mere material becomes the fabric of a woman's personality, her femininity, her story. In this process, the fabric comes to life and becomes an immanent part of the new owner of the dress. For her, this is the alchemy of design.The idea for this year's collection and the event was born during a trip to Mexico in January 2022. "I was so moved by the atmosphere of the place, by the deep spirituality of the organic existence that pervades everything, that my husband and I decided to bring the experience with us. I dreamed the clothes and he dreamed the Tulum Show," Orsolya said after the show. Orsoya Darchi - an evening that appealed to all 5 senses The catwalk featured a total of 45 ensembles in three acts, accompanied by stunning visual elements and a unique musical experience. In three parts, guests were able to taste the Mexican delicacies dressed up in fine dining at the IKON restaurant in Debrecen, created by the talented chef Ádám Thür.The first section was illuminated by the natural light that filtered through the trees of the grove onto the models of the show. In this section, customers who wear these pieces in real life had the opportunity to step onto the catwalk of Orsoya Darchi. People with whom the clothes they dream of wearing live and breathe. It's a great initiative for the brand to bring the world of catwalks closer to real women.This was followed by a presentation of wedding and evening dresses. Delicate laces, swishing, shimmering silks, exciting cut lines and tops that left the body suggestively free, beautifully highlighted the delicate characteristics of femininity. All illuminated by the last rays of the setting sun, the musical backdrop was provided by the Tulum DJ playing along with instrumental musicians. They were brilliant throughout the event, always providing the right accompaniment to the show. A unique and provocative collection on the altar of nudity After a break and the last two courses of the fine dining dinner, the finale of the show came, the presentation of the Tulum collection. By this time, dusk was already setting in heavily, so the dazzling light show was clearly visible, combining natural fire with the most modern and extravagant lighting techniques. All this without distracting attention from its powerful presence, but rather enhancing the magic.At the heart of the Tulum collection is the use of natural materials, inspired by organic forms. The designer makes exciting and innovative use of trends that are already ingrained in street style ensembles, such as nudity. Exciting cut-outs that leave as much skin as possible free are an inevitable part of the summer trends. The suggestive and artistic, but never ordinary, nakedness. After all, naked skin as a starting concept is no stranger to art. In Peter Greenaway's Couple's Book, the human body is used as the parchment of calligraphy, as a medium for a partly visual, partly literary work. These traits are incorporated into a framework that brings traditional techniques to life in Orsoya Darchi's unique and provocative collection.Seeing the show gave a new meaning to commitment, expertise and perfectionism.
